I got my first inquiry within a week of launching

Before I hired Kathy and her team from Bride Appeal to redesign my website and help me get more brides, I was struggling to find myself. I took multiple virtual classes, webinars and programs to better myself and get the “High End” bride. I’ve actually booked or at least made appointments with every inquiry

My previous website was dated, with limited functions, and I couldn’t update it myself. Even though my previous webmaster updated existing pages for free, it was like putting band-aids on a broken leg. I was limited in how I could present myself and my services because I didn’t want to invest more money to develop new pages on a website which no longer met my needs. I switched out photos and rewrote copy, but I still kept ending up with a different version of the same old thing.

During my virtual coffee meeting with Kathy, I realized that my problem was much bigger than my website. Before developing a new website, I needed a major overhaul of my business model.

Since launching my new website, my traffic had increased, and I’m well on my way to page one ranking for the highly competitive number one wedding search term for my area. My inquiries seem to be more serious, because I’ve actually booked or at least made appointments with every inquiry, whereas before, I would spend time trying to chase down inquiries that had apparently lost interest.

Before working with Bride Appeal, I had a website that was fairly easy to add/change the content, but didn’t look anything like what I wanted it to look like and didn’t have the capability to do anything that I needed it to do. I had an added problem: lacking clear direction with my special brand of expertise. So if my ideal bride happened to find my site, what she found there wasn’t speaking to her at all.

I knew somewhere in the back of my mind about what I do for the kind of client I love to serve, but was having a hard time translating it to make sense to a potential client visiting my website. Kathy helped me clarify my niche

In addition to a website, I needed some marketing materials. I now have a beautiful new business card design and I love how it blends perfectly with my website. Also created a full page magazine ad that is awesome, and again is branded just right and speaks to my ideal client. The marketing pieces designed were not only lovely, they were done quickly. Not that I’d recommend super-tight deadlines, but if you find yourself in that situation, Kathy and the team can deliver.

It couldn’t be easier to learn how to use my website. Kathy created very detailed tutorial videos on how to add content and use all of the website features. They are top notch and super easy to follow.

True story: I was watching one of the videos, wearing headphones and Kathy gave a tip for adding content using the HTML page and how you can find the place on the page where that content will be when it’s published. I don’t know HTML Code any more than I know Morse code. Yet, Kathy made a suggestion so simple and so helpful; I responded aloud “that’s genius!” So my husband, who knows how to write HTML by the way, had to see what made me talk to the computer. He agreed, it was a terrific tip even for a veteran! That’s just one example of how the tutorial videos are created for someone like me with limited understanding of technology but will be equally helpful for someone else with more experience.

The website has so many fabulous features that already are making my business easier to manage and I know that as my business grows, having this foundation already in place will be invaluable. Because of the coaching throughout the design process, I also feel so much more confident about the copy that I am writing for my website because of the clear picture of my niche and how I serve my ideal bride. This was evidenced when Kathy’s said that the questions I created for requesting a consultation page were “beautifully done”.

In the weeks my site has been live, there’s already been double the traffic than the old site received without even being fully optimized yet.

The magazine ad Bride Appeal created hit the stand just before Independence Day and already on the afternoon of July 5th a consultation was booked by a bride who said she heard of us from that ad. The best part – all I did was open my email to find a new consultation had been scheduled! To say that was super exciting would be an understatement! This wouldn’t have been possible without a consistent brand message and a website that streamlines the entire process for potential clients just checking out your site and moving them to want to meet with you and then giving them the tools to make that appointment on their own.

I was smart enough at the onset of the project to contract some follow up coaching services. Not only is it good to get another set of eyes on your website copy, as Kathy’s client, she’ll get to know your brand and style and can identify places you may start veering off track with copy that won’t speak to your ideal client and make suggestions accordingly. This has been a tremendous help in tweaking not only my website copy but how I approach what I say in meetings with other professionals and prospective clients. I am by no means a savvy web person, but I do understand the importance of my website being found via on-line searches. Kathy researched my market extensively and provided key terms she felt would help my business the most. Then she helped update my website with this information in mind. I went from less than 50 visitors per month on my site to 600 per month in just a short few months. And these are new visitors!

Just filling out the forms and answering your questions, it really brought probably a year’s worth of introspection into focus by really sitting down and looking at the answers that we had and comparing that to what we were doing.
